A Day at the Beach: Capturing Memories

There's something calming about a day at the beach. The gentle sound of the waves, the warmth of the sun (or clouds on our day) on your skin, and the endless expanse of sand stretching out before you—it's the perfect setting. And what better way to preserve some of those moments than with a trusty camera by your side? In my case, that camera is the Ricoh GR IIIx, a compact and powerful companion that never fails to amaze me with how great the images look.

As my wife and I set off for our walk at the beach, we couldn't help but feel a sense of calm in the air. Our furry companion, our beloved dog, was wagging her tail in anticipation. Armed with the minimum of beach essentials and a camera in my pocket, we were ready for a leisurely walk and some incredible views.

The 40mm focal length is proving to be very versatile and I'm happy I picked this over the 28mm Ricoh GRIII model.
